The Chamber supports 2 local food banks during Covid-19 crisis

Newham Chamber of Commerce recently found out that Food Banks in the borough are struggling to meet the increased demand.

In some cases the number of people coming to food banks increased by fourfold. As such there was acute shortage at some food banks. The Chamber supported 2 food banks: St Mark’s in Beckton (this is the busiest food bank in Newham) and St Paul’s in Stratford.

The Chamber delivered over 250 kgs of non-perishable items to these food banks. The Chamber will continue to support these food banks through this crisis.
