Women in Business: ‘Spotlight on Members’ event

It was a privilege to bring our community together to celebrate International Women’s Day. The theme this year gave us the perfect opportunity to reflect on the incredible achievements of women within Newham. The room was filled with inspiring conversations, powerful stories, and a shared commitment to supporting one another to grow and succeed.

”When women rise, communities rise, economies rise and the future rises”
Daljinder (Dee) Kaur Hopal (Chair of NCC Women in Business Group)

”Doors are to be opened but you must push that door”
Leah Clarke (Vice Chair of NCC Women in Business Group)

What stood out most was women uplifting women, sharing experiences, and building meaningful connections that will continue long after the event.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed to the discussions, and helped make the event such a positive and empowering space. Your energy, honesty and willingness to support one another are what make this community so special. To our guest speakers Jyotsna Hofman (Mindful Coach, Reyhana Jano (Organisational Psychologist) and our  sponsor Rebecca Stevenson (Signorelli)
