Being a member of Newham Chamber of Commerce definitely has its benefits and two Members, London East Jazz Network (LEJN) and Sadler’s Wells East’s Park Kitchen & Bar (PKB) have come together with a celebratory offer that supports the launch of one of Newham and East London’s newest restaurant live music events, Jazz East.
From 5pm on Tuesday 10th March, PKB throws open its restaurant doors at East Bank on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford East London, to host an evening of networking, exciting live jazz in both words and music in its very cool “club” venue overlooking the London Stadium.
As social enterprises, both LEJN and Sadler’s Wells are always keen to host community focused events, so at 8pm they introduce spoken-word performer and local cultural ambassador Be Manzini, followed by The Basil Hodge Quintet performing JAZZ AFRICA, the story of jazz from its roots to right now.
Jazz heritage goes back further than New Orleans and Jazz Africa tells this story with some familiar and unfamiliar sounds that will get the audience involved…and dancing…it is Sadler’s Wells after all ! This is not “Scary Jazz!” and it’s more than just a jazz concert…it’s an East London networking opportunity with a difference!
