Newham Business Awards 2025
Now in it’s 9th year we are pleased to announce the biggest event of the year, the Newham Business Awards 2025.
We are really excited for you to join us for this journey of celebrating how Newham does business and highlighting some amazing businesses and organisations at our gala awards dinner on Friday 5th December 2025.
We are delighted to announce a £1,000 prize is to be awarded to the overall winner of the John James Business of the Year award!
How can you be in with a chance to win this?
If you have applied for any of the 12 awards categories, which are relevant to you or your business.
What happens once you apply?
Once you have applied, if you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend the gala awards dinner to be held on Friday 5th December.
If you are a winner on the night, of any of the 12 awards on offer, you will automatically be entered for the overall winner of the John James Business of the Year.
When is the deadline to apply?
The deadline to apply is 5pm on Friday 7th November 2025, entries will no longer be accepted after this.
Who can apply for an award?
For all individuals or organisations based in Newham, or do a significant level of business in Newham.
You do not have to be an active member of the Newham Chamber of Commerce.
Can I apply for more than 1 award?
Yes, you can apply for as many award categories as you feel are appropriate to you and your organisation. Each award category is sponsored by a different local business, and they are responsible for reviewing each application received for their category and they decide who should be on the final shortlist of 3, per award. However, please note, you can only be shortlisted for 1 award.
I have won an award before, or been shortlisted, at a previous Newham Business Awards event, so can I still apply?
Yes, you are more than welcome to apply again this year. We have so many categories so please do see if any other award category applies to you or your organisation.
How can I get the Business Awards Gala Dinner Tickets?
The Awards and Gala Dinner is on Friday 5th December 2025. If you are shortlisted you will automatically be invited to attend the Gala Dinner and be offered 1 ticket per individual or organisation. In addition there may be an opportunity to purchase more tickets especially if you are a paid member of the Newham Chamber of Commerce.
Why should you enter?
- Excellent opportunity to promote your business
- Use of award accreditation on your company marketing materials if you are shortlisted/winner of a category
- Press and media coverage by local, regional and national outlets
- Acknowledgement on the Newham Business Awards page on the Newham Chamber of Commerce website, of those shortlisted and winners in each category
- The runners-up will receive a framed certificate, to be collected at the awards ceremony
- Finalists will receive one complimentary invitation to attend the Newham Business Awards 2025 Reception, Dinner and Presentation and acknowledgement at that event of your business, at which there will be some 200+ attendees
- £1,000 prize is to be awarded to the overall winner of the John James Business of the Year!
When and where are the 2025 Awards?
Friday 5th December 2025 from 6.30pm, to be held at the Old Town Hall, 29 The Broadway, Stratford, London, E15 4BQ.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 7th November 2025.
Next Steps
For all awards applications received by the deadline of 5pm on Friday 7th November:
By Friday 14th November: shortlisting for your category will take place to review your submission(s) by the awards judges.
Monday 17th – Wednesday 19th November: you will be contacted if your application was shortlisted and you will then be invited to attend the awards ceremony and gala dinner on Friday 5th December from 6.30pm. You will also receive information and a link to book your 1 x complimentary ticket, in addition there may be an opportunity to purchase more tickets especially if you are a paid member of the Newham Chamber of Commerce.
NOTE: there may be a requirement for you to attend an online meeting, or in-person, if the judges require any further information to support your application. Please ensure you are available between Monday 17th – Friday 21st November and someone will contact you to arrange this.

The winner in each award category will receive:
- An engraved trophy, framed certificate and interview
- Press and Media coverage by local and regional outlets
- Announcements on the Newham Business Awards page within the Newham Chamber of Commerce website & social media
- The runners-up will receive a framed certificate
- £1,000 prize is to be awarded to the overall winner of the John James Business of the Year!
